A bit of history about the Renault 4L

The Renault 4L (R1120 and R1123), launched in 1961, became an icon of the Renault brand thanks to its practical and versatile design. Designed as a robust family car, the R4 (R1124 and R1126) stood out for its front-wheel drive configuration and generous interior space. It was initially equipped with the 845cc Billancourt engine, a 4-cylinder engine that contributed to the car's reputation for reliability. Later, the model was modernized with the 1108cc Cléon engine, offering better performance and greater durability. She continues to cause a sensation in the 4L Trophy, a student rally-raid which celebrates the spirit of adventure and solidarity. Production of the 4L ceased in 1992 and was gradually replaced by the Renault 5.
