A bit of history about the Renault Floride

The Renault Floride, introduced in 1959, is a coupé-cabriolet that marked the beginning of the 1960s with its elegant design and modern lines. Based on the platform of the Renault Dauphine, the Floride offered a pleasant driving experience thanks to its 4-cylinder rear engine. It quickly gained popularity. The Renault Floride S (R1131), a sports version of the Floride launched in 1962, is distinguished by its more powerful engine and technical improvements. In 1962, the Floride was renamed Renault Caravelle to reinforce its sporty and refined image. Production of the Floride ceased in 1968.
